Philip Morris delivered strong Q2 2024 results, driven by record revenues, robust smoke-free product growth, and expanding operating margins. Despite operational momentum, PM's current valuation appears stretched versus peers MO and BTI, making its risk/reward less attractive at current prices. Remain neutral on PM, expecting a retracement to around $147 before turning bullish again, which would offer a more compelling entry and a 4% dividend yield.

Philip Morris International (PM) remains a strong buy after a recent sell-off, with long-term growth prospects outweighing short-term concerns. PM's dominant positions in smokeless (Zyn) and heated tobacco (IQOS) markets, plus successful acquisitions, support robust earnings growth projections. Despite slower Zyn growth and regulatory headwinds, PM's innovation and market share gains in key segments reinforce its leadership and undervaluation.
